Supply and Installation of ECR AC Evaporator by Meera Marine

Meera Marine successfully completed the supply and installation of the Engine Control Room (ECR) Air Conditioning Evaporator, ensuring optimal climate control for critical electronic and operational equipment. The job was executed with full compliance to marine HVAC standards, OEM specifications, and safety protocols.

• Site Assessment and System Evaluation
  A detailed inspection of the existing ECR air conditioning system was conducted to assess the condition of the old evaporator and identify integration requirements.
  Specifications such as cooling capacity, refrigerant type (R134a/R407C), airflow, and space constraints were recorded.
• Supply of Evaporator Unit
  A new marine-grade evaporator unit was manufactured by Meera marine , designed for continuous duty in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
  The unit included a corrosion-resistant copper coil, aluminium fins, and a stainless steel drain tray suitable for marine applications.
• Dismantling of Old Unit
  The existing evaporator unit was carefully isolated from the system, with refrigerant safely recovered as per environmental guidelines.
  Electrical connections, expansion valves, and drain lines were disconnected and logged for reinstallation.
• Installation of New Evaporator
  The new evaporator unit was mounted in the designated ECR HVAC housing using anti-vibration mounts.
  Refrigerant piping was connected using brazed or flared joints and pressure-tested for leaks.
  Electrical wiring, sensors, and control interfaces were reconnected and tested for continuity.
  Drain lines were routed and secured for proper condensate discharge.
• Testing and Commissioning
  The system was vacuumed and charged with the correct type and quantity of refrigerant.
  Performance tests were conducted, including temperature drop, airflow rate, and evaporator coil performance under load.
  The system was monitored for stable operation and proper cycling.
• Documentation and Handover
  A detailed report was prepared, including installation steps, test results, refrigerant logs, and maintenance guidelines.
  The ECR AC system was handed over to the ship's crew with operational instructions and preventive maintenance schedules.
